Our company, established by Mr Granville Ian Hopley on the principles of sound craftsmanship and value for money, is now one of the region’s leading construction contractors. We continue to maintain the same business principles today offering a modern flexible professional and cost-effective service.
G I Hopley started in business in 1968 as a Joinery Contractor operating from a small joinery shop in Austwick, Near Ingleton in Lancashire.
By the mid 1970’s rapid growth saw the building of a large workshop on the Sowarth Industrial Estate, Settle serving the whole of the Craven area.
In January 1984 the business was incorporated to G.I. Hopley Ltd resulting in further expansion to its current premises on the Sidings Industrial Estate. It started carrying out General Building works along with the Joinery Contracting side of the business.
