Sutton in Craven Community Primary School – Disabled adaptions

Sutton in Craven Community Primary School

Hopley’s successfully won a competitive tender for disabled adaptations and the refurbishment of Sutton in Craven Community School procured through JE Jacobs North Allerton.

The contract was funded by North Yorkshire County Council and the main focus of the works was to alter the reception area; staff offices and toilets.

We carefully removed the internal walls in the reception area and staff offices and reconstructed the internal layout of the area to offer extra private office space and better reception area.

The secondary element of the works was to construct two disabled ramps out of re-claimed stone to the two outside entrances and in addition to the contract we converted the cellar into additional storage for the school, which involved flagging the original earth floor and tanking the walls.
